World of Pain
I think I’m dying. I think I’m fainting. The pain is excruciating. I want to cry. We were having our morning “walkies” behind the hilltop park near our house. We do this when papa’s not working. I do not know what happened, but somehow I missed a step and I fell and scrapped my knees on the cobbled path. A sharp pain coursed through my leg. The end result is this. It was very painful; it felt like fire ants biting my leg. Not that I had ants biting my leg, ever. But you get the picture. Papa looking at me all bloodied up and walking wounded, went into rescue mode and carried me off swiftly back home. My knee was still throbbing. After a quick rinse and a bit of antiseptic lotion, a big band-aid was slapped onto my knee. Papa gave me my milk to get me to sleep it off but I couldn’t sleep. The pain was just too much a toddler could take. Eventually, papa ended up massaging my knee softly until I doze off to slumberland. My very first accident involving blood spillage. That was my day, how was yours? Labels: Sick |

What a 2nd day!
On our second day of Hari Raya celebrations, papa had taken leave from work to unwind with the family. What better way to unwind then to visit and get acquainted with more relatives. However, we couldn’t notch up more house visits since big bro and big sis were still schooling for the morning part of the day. We managed only 5 houses before we called it a night since my siblings do have to go to school today. By night time yesterday, my enthusiasm went downhill, and I became crankier with added minutes. I wanted to go home soon, and I wanted to go home fast. |

What a day!
Yesterday was a very tiring day. And it was only to 3 houses. Mama says that every first day of Idulfitri, we would religiously go to these 3 houses to visit our elders, papa’s parents in Choa Chu Kang, mama’s parents in Yung Ho and Tok Long’s in Hougang. And the atmosphere in each house that we visited was exhilarating and chaotic at the same time. Wherever, we went people keep insisting on me to take small colourful packets. The first few times I refused and tried to give them back. But after the fifth time I gave in and just accepted these small packets and promptly gave them to mama or papa. What’s with these paper packets? Am I supposed to play with them? |

Strong and Silent
My parents are very exasperated with me. Why you asked? Well, for the umpteen times, I had clammed up whenever there is a social gathering. I would stop babbling, not even making the slightest whimper. At home, I am quite a chatterbox, you see. I could easily repeat simple words that are thrown to me. I would babble and chatter with anyone and everyone. I would even start humming/singing something that is stuck in my head for any length of time. At other times, my parents and siblings would entertain me by replying back whatever gibberish words that I say to them and we communicated ... well, sort of anyways … hihihihi. But, the few times that we had social gatherings like iftar with family or with papa's and mama's friends, I would inevitably keep quiet. No noise, not a word coming out from my mouth. This has led people to believe that I'm the strong and silent type ... hihihihi ... now that's a laugh. Some has also brought their worries to my parents that I should, like be "talking" now, or at least babble for that instance. And my parents would profusely state that I'm quite the chatterbox but just cannot prove it. Hahahaha. Oh well, what can I say, for all those times … I wasn’t in the chatty mood... hihihi …. |

The road to success is never easy. The twist and turns, the ups and downs. The stop and go. But one thing for sure is for this to happen. Don’t forget. If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail! Labels: Hits |

Fashion wear 101
About the clothes we wear. This dress was bought from FBabies boutique. Mama said it’s one of the up market children’s clothes store. As I said in a previous entry, kid’s clothes are a hodge-podge of boutique, retail and hand me downs. When mama bought this, Asu also bought another piece for cousin Alya, but in green. On one of the occasion, we actually wore the same creation and we became the talk of the town. We looked that good. One thing that I like about this dress was the skirty thing looks like handkerchiefs being tied to my waist. Classy … ehhh! More fashion news to come. Stay tuned. Labels: Clothes |

Books!
Mama brought us to the library recently. Since I’m the toddler with THE borrowing power, I was really excited to maximize my library card. Alas, I couldn’t use up my allocated maximum of 4 books. But what I did get was 3 superb books nonetheless. Of the 3 books that I borrowed, I absolutely loved the Hugs story. Papa couldn’t understand the plot behind the hugging story. When you get big hugs being done on you when the part comes in the story… who cares about the reasons why? Hug! Hug! Hug ... I loved it. The “Good Night!” story was a little bit too long; I kind of lost interest in the story by the time the girl went to find her doll, Zoe. The last book about Kevin going to school was fun too. The colours were bright and the drawings were big and bold. I like these kinds of books. I can’t wait for the next time when we go to the library. Labels: Books |

Toys R Us
Let’s talk toys. I think everyone I know has their fair share of toys. And I think all of you readers would have yours too. I’ve been to many of shops that have them however; it seems our parents would always put their Shield of Resistance when we ask them to buy this toy or that toy that caught our fancy. Am I right? See, all parents go to the same school. On some days, they do however give in or crumble to our demands but on most days, you can turn on the waterworks and you still get zilch. Then there are some days, out-of-the-blue, you get a toy without even asking. Go figure? But one thing for sure, there are those big occasions that calls for tonnes of gifts. Labels: Toys |

Eager Toddler
Another action I discovered by putting one skills after another. This stunt was shot in front of a live audience and no toddlers were hurt whilst shooting this stunt. I have done this a few times before mama got this video, you know. The first time she saw me doing it, her jaw dropped to the floor in amazement. Now that I tell you, was a funny sight. Okay enough of the jabbering just watch this video. I call this "the impatient toddler ready to go out of the house" stunt. Recently, I've been learning to get down by myself. No, I don't go over the bar ... what do you think I am, crazy? I would slide under the bar to get my feet on the footrest below, and nimbly slide out to the floor. The first few times, when I did it face up, I got stuck permanently only to be saved by my crying and by my siblings. I only had a small degree of success of getting down from the pram when I slid out in a face down position. But I think I going to have to stop this disembarking stunt because my butt keeps getting stuck under the bar....hihihi. Labels: Growing up |

Get together night 2
Dejavu. That's what I felt. I just had a gathering the night before and I had another one yesternite. But it was not at our house; we went down to Uncle Shawal's place in Jurong West. We were the first ones there. It seemed that mama and papa had planned to eat or what they call “iftar” with their friends. I don't really mind except someone should have told me first. People! Keep me in the loop okay.... hihihi. Also, I didn't mind because Afiq, that's uncle Shawal's son had loads of toys to play with ... wooohooo!!. Big bro and sis was too excited that they couldn't decide which toy or toys to play with first. The playroom became cluttered with toys fast. I couldn't see the floor at all when Uncle Shahrul and Uncle Kam came with their entourage, which added 5 more children to the mix. Looks like a hurricane just came through the room ... hihihihi. Well, my playtime came to an end when the big boys and gals started to play with a bit more gusto ... aka roughplay is what I meant. What can you expect with Uncle Kam's twin broods of Amran and Imran, Afiq and big bro? And not forgetting big sis playing with Uncle Shahrul's Diana and Hana and Uncle Kam's daughter, Nadia. So out I came and somewhat played with Najiha. She’s starting to walk now but she’s still shy to play with me. Oh well, at least there were lots of food to eat. |
