And now, a health tip for all you couch potatoes out there. Get your shoes on and start running.

A man running in front of a car gets tired, but a man running behind a car gets exhausted.

The Preparation!

A few days before the Big Day, MY big day. The whole house was teeming with activity. Papa came in with bundles of stuff every other day. Mama was slowly cleaning up the house and ordering some food. And my siblings, they were helping out with the party goody bags.

Here they are; hanging bags of goodies ready to be given to my guests. Big bro was tired after filling in the bags … what a lightweight … hehehehheh.

And me? What was I doing? Well, since it’s MY big day, I just sit around, reading my magazine … hihihihi.

Wohhh!! Nearly forgotten to get this out. This is really funny. Make sure you follow every word of it.

try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw,
then jump through a hoop of fire. They're trained for that.”

Jaws 6

I have grown more teeth these past weeks. The last time, only the lower teeth were eager to appear. Now, behold the glory of my new pearly whites.

Although I looked like looking a gift horse in the mouth … heheheheh, papa said it had to be done, so I hope no one will laugh at me.

Forget the pizza now; give me a steak … pronto...hihihiihi …

Anything but a sucker

I’m on fire these past few weeks. I’m learning new skills faster than you can say “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”. I’m now a bonafide sucker, meaning I can suck my drink through a straw.

Honestly, mama was shocked but papa knew that I could do it. So now, mama is using this bottle to get me slowly off drinking with a teat.

Furniture Climber

There’s a flurry of activity that I have been learning these past few weeks. Here’s another action that I’m learning fast. I’m officially now a climber.

Give me any furniture that I can hold on and swing my legs up and I’ll climb it. Going up and down beds and couches is a cinch.

You want to see that again?

A wise man once said, if you want to learn new stuff, you have got to make mistakes. Does this work in all cases?

Bye Bye Speedy

Well, it’s official now. My parents have chucked out Speedy, my walker. Since I’ve started walking, mama and papa had reduced my reliance on using the walker. Only last week I heard them murmuring about getting rid of Speedy. And now they’ve gone and done it. And so, I give an ode to Speedy.

Hello Speedy, my walking buddy

We had so much fun, you and I
You had stains, I still use you
You had smells, I still sit on you
Your seat was ripped, I still ride you

We zoomed here and there,
We slammed this and crashed everywhere,
We ran over feet and ankles bare
We had so much fun, you and I

Bye Bye Speedy, I will miss you.

Baby Blues

Yesterday, the whole family had a big scare. Why? It’s because of what I did.

All of us were having dinner at the table. I was eating rice and in my playful mode. I was playing with my drink cup, and splashing water all around. So with a flash, mama confiscated my cup. I didn’t like it at all so I cried out loud. But in my agitated crying state, I’ve forgotten to breathe out.

There was I, open-mouthed with no sound coming out. In papa’s own words, my lips and eye brows started turning blue. Papa yelled a warning and mama quickly shook me to snap me out of my open-mouthed non-breathing state. Once my brain kicked in, I took a long deep breath and cried out some more.

Mama took me in her arms, cuddled and soothed me. Papa then reassured me and my other siblings, who by now, were quite stunned at what had just transpired that some babies do forget to breathe, in their intense crying state. He said he remembered big bro having the same episode.

That was the worst thing that ever happened to me.

A tribute to Mama

Yesterday, the whole family celebrated Mother’s day. I know what you guys might say; every day should be Mother’s day. But do we ever do that?

When was the last time a voice was raised to our mother? How about a certain action by us that made them sad?

This is to my mama … I love you so very much.

Clappity Clap

Here’s more advancement of my growing process. After much training and practicing, I’m proud to show this video clip. As the song goes, come on people sing with me, “If you’re happy and you know it …”

And with a bit of showing off, how about this for multi-tasking …

Walking and clapping, that’s a hard act to follow.

The only thing to do with good advice is to pass it on.
It is never of any use to oneself.

Me and my shadow

Remember the sleeping baby movie I showed a few months back. That was a cracker, wasn’t it? Well now, Papa has just received another movie that is just as funny. And you know, I only show the best for my readers. Enjoy.

C3P0

At last the world is ready to bear witness of me walking, albeit like a robot as what MakLongSha commented. Bah … humbug … frankly, I’m just delighted to show off to all of you guys.

You know I was a bit apprehensive when I started learning to walk. The falling down, the painful bum and the scrapped knees, I remember all that. But now I’m slowly gaining my confidence in walking.

I strictly followed this formula when practicing to walk. First, there was the shimmying along furniture. Then the reach and grab across furniture. And last but not least, the unassisted robot-like walk. This I can say is the best formula for learning to walk. I think all babies should follow my example … hihihihi.

I’ve never liked getting up early. To me the day should only start when the body is ready and alert. If it isn’t, staying in bed should be the only option.

Swim Fan

Huarrgh … Still a bit sleepy. Woke up late today due to the exhausting activities yesterday. So I’m going to write a short piece before going to sleep again.

We had a small BBQ yesterday at Along’s place. Just a small one to spend the public holiday. And of course, the pool is one of several reasons to visit Along … hihihi. When we got there, the weather was great and the pool was so inviting.

Alya came too and we had a great time splashing around.

The day was spoilt by a passing shower that stopped us from continuing on. What a bummer … hihihi… but we still enjoyed it though.
