What a wet blanket ... this rainy season is. We had to cancel a few events of our holiday itinerary. Poof goes the pool. Poof goes A'Famosa. A tour around historical Melaka ... Poof! Our days were spent in shopping malls, shopping arcades and shopping centres. They were the only ones under cover. Here are some pictures of water on the ground, water in the air and more water in the sky. But at least everyone got their 'ikan bakar' treat, and that was just shear luck because I heard mama telling papa that another 2 groups of relatives that went a few days earlier didn't get to reach the place due to ... what else ... flooding. We even had to cut short our holidays and return home to "sunny" Singapore. Labels: Holidays |
I’m going on a short trip up north to West Malaysia tomorrow. It’s like an annual wind-down affair for my parents. They worked so hard all through the year, you know. Hopefully it wouldn’t rain there, well comparing as much as it did for the past 3 days. So see ya when I see ya! Labels: Holidays |
It’s time for an update and also for you readers to get acquainted with my pearly whites. As you can see, as of 16 months I have the whole complement of teeth … well except for my second molars. They would be much, much later, that’s according to one website that papa surfed; my 2nd molars will only be due in my 26 month. That’s a little bit over 2 years old for those babies and some toddlers who doesn’t know how to count yet. Labels: Teeth |
All toddlers have a right to have chocolates. We have a right to play until night time. Not eating anything green is our right too. Let all babies and toddlers unite and stand for our right … afterwards, we’ll see what’s left. A right is not what someone gives you; It’s what no one can take from you. Labels: Hits |
Mama bought me this scribbling board. There was no occasion for it at all. She said it was because I started to scamper away with big sis’ pencils and waving it like an artist that she bought this for me. It was fun when I began to scribble lines across the bear’s tummy. Then scrubbing it off and doing it again. Another “old” toy that I liked to play most is this toy. This beautiful butterfly sings the best story I’ve ever heard. When I turn a page, another story is sung with music so lovely. And by pressing the butterfly’s tummy, I can hear numbers, alphabets and shapes being sung to me. The next exciting toy in my possession is this cute little box. It has the back and front ends of many animals. When you get an animal combination right, it sings you a song. And if you get a wrong combination, like a back of a sheep with the front of a horse, the box will sing you another funny song. But as all of you would already know by now, children and toys do not really mix. With the extra enthusiasm in playing with toys, these playthings would never see their 6 months “birthday” out from their box. Sad to say, a lot more toys have gone to the heaven in the sky in the hands of children and mine … hihihiihi. Labels: Toys |
Big sis returned home from her holidays with Atok and Nenek today. She was gone for like a week. I really do miss her; I think the proverb that says absence makes the heart grow fonder is true. I liked playing with big sis even though she takes away my toys when I’m still playing with them. There’s a difference between playing with big bro and big sis. Big bro for one would totally ignore me when he gets tired of playing and would just do his stuff. Big sis is a bit different because the more I annoy her to play with me, so would eventually give in. Welcome back, big sis. |
I didn’t want to release this picture but mama insisted that I should. This happened before Hari Raya. Mama had just bought me a toy cleaning set because I kept bothering papa when he was doing his hari raya house cleanup. You know me, a helpful person that I am, got my gear and uniform ready just for the occasion. Papa said I looked like a maid. I might have looked the part but cleaning is not my forte apparently. Something is not right. For the past several nights, I would sleep on my parent's bed, but when I wake up the next morning, I'll find myself on the big mattress on the floor near the foot of bed. What's going on here, this is most peculiar ... hmmm. I tried giving a quizzical look to mama but she just smiled. I'm tracking this occurrence on a per day basis and see where it leads to. I don't really mind with this sleeping arrangement. I've got more room to move on the big mattress below, rather than fighting for space with mama and papa on their bed. It's really quite a squeeze. |
