Sickathon

What a freaky week this has been?

It seems my sickness is slowly affecting my other siblings. Big sis was down with fever 2 days ago and now big bro is having his share of fever.

I'm a walking virus ... hihihihi.

The Regurgitator

I’ve vomited 3 times today. The first was a showing of more to come. And I did go, a lot!

It was a messy affair. My parents had to do a lot of clean up duties after I hurled the other 2 times. But they didn’t go ballistic though. That’s a good sign, right. And big bro had to do a lot of spraying with the perfumed can thingy to get the smell tolerable.

Is this related to the fever I had a few days back. Hopefully, I’m back on the mend now.

I’m Hot!

Although I do look irresistible, but it’s not that kind of hot. Maybe, I should say I’m feverish. Had to go to the doctor yesterday, and get myself bottles of medication to swallow.

Mama said even though the fever was high; I don’t look or act sick. I mean I was jumping off the couch every other time. Maybe, it was my way of beating the fever … you know; starve a cold, exercise a fever … that kind of thing. But the nights were quite distressing for me. I couldn’t sleep a wink. It was that difficult. Papa had to surrender his side and slept on a mattress on the floor. He’s a good dad, he understands … hihihihi.

I really hope this fever will ebb, cause I don’t like feeling sick at all.

Where’s the Fish?

We had another outing yesterday. We went to find the clown fish called Nemo. It was an all girl affair. Big bro has some school thingy and so papa had to be around to big brother sit when he comes back from school.

We went there with Alya … again and her mom, Asu … again. Finding Nemo was a great show. All the colourful fishes dancing around; and Nemo was trying to find his dad. The music was loud but tolerable and nice too.

After the show, I pestered mama into buying me this psychedelic torch which had Nemo on top of a stick and swirling lights in his insides when you press a button. It was hypnotic. I loved it.

Mama said papa will be mad if he sees the toy because it was way too big and wieldy enough to be made like a hammer to swing at person or persons. I don’t care, it was mine. Big sis bought this humongous binocular that looked like the goggles. Papa would be very “thrilled”.

Welcome to the Zoo

We went to the zoo… again?? I can’t remember if this was my 2nd or 3rd time there. Well, papa always agonised that the Zoo is quite a staple attraction to visit during big bro’s and big sis’ school holidays. That and the Bird Park and the Science Center. And then he gives a big sigh. Poor papa, the things he does for us… and thank you papa for the things he does for us too.... hihihihi.

I think most of your guys have been there too right? You know what’s there, animals … of all shapes and sizes … and smells too. So I won’t write any more of that, I’ll just show a few choice photos and videos of our sights there.

Here we are getting ready for the outdoor show;

Carlos the sea lion imitating a shark and a dolphin;

This one, I’ve got to show. Nek Jah, mortified after seeing the zookeepers bringing out the biggest snake I ever saw. Papa said that Nenek might already be down with a bout of fever.

This is the cause of Nek Jah’s anxiety;

And of course, what’s the zoo without the monkeys;

Guessing Game

I’ve been meaning to post this like eons ago. Better late than never I say. Let's play a guessing game. See the picture below. Guess whose birthday it was for?

It is for Cuzin Alya? Cuzin Shukur? Cuzin Solehah? Or big bro Amir? Still can't make up your mind? Here's another picture to help you more.

So is it Cuzin Shukur or Big bro?

The answer is ... it was Alang's birthday celebration. Yes, it's the big kid in the middle. Or as papa said ... "bapak budak". It was his 33rd birthday, and since he was in Singapore we got together to help blow out his candles.

Learning to forgive takes practice.

So start now, it gets easier the next time. However, this doesn’t mean that other people can take you for a ride all the time.

Review Time

I am now 21 months old. That’s 1 year and 9 months for those in need of calculators.

I’ve grown to become a healthy toddler. I’ve been described to be quite a stocky toddler by my aunts and uncles. Maybe they are comparing me with the wrong people … errr babies; Alya and Fynna are not good comparisons to me … hihihi. But stocky or not, I prefer to be called purpose-built … hihihi.

My agility knows no bounds. There are no stairs I can’t climb, no grilles I can’t clamber and no slope I can’t scramble on. My strength can’t be surpassed, to other toddlers that is, I can swing sticks with finesse or power. Throw things with grace or anger. I can run/walk for extended periods … well, until I get tired of course.

I’m not quite a word-smith yet, but I understand a couple of words here and there. I’m more of the strong and silent type. I speak only when I need to, to be understood that is and react only when I’m not… hihihihi.

But where are my manners? Well, I’ve learnt to put the plastic glasses into the sink. Push the dining chairs back in after eating. And throw away things inside the plastic rubbish bag. How’s that for training?
