Day 2 : The Hills are Alive
Colmar here we come! Early morning, after a breakfast of nasi lemak and prata. ooppps ... canai (as what they call it here), we set off to the highlands a.k.a. Bukit Tinggi. We were joined now by Pak Teh and his family. The ride was a non-event, I remember the sleeping and the eating and the sleeping again. And when I woke up last, the car was merrily going on a steep gradient up the mountain. My ears didn't even pop since I slept through that too ... hihihihi. After a lot of winding roads, I saw a castle peeking through the forest. It looked like the picture when I watched the Nemo movie. It was so high up, it might as well be in the clouds. When Atok finally parked, we stepped out of the car and the weather felt quite cool, just like being in the car. After dumping everything in the room, we went out to see the sights. First we saw was the beautiful swans in the mote under the bridge. The next thing we saw, was a playground. And you know these are a magnet to kids ... and also parents ... hihihi. The place itself was not that big. Mama said tomorrow we'll be going around by car to the other attractions. I couldn't wait. These are a few choice photos. If you want to see the rest, jump over to mama's multiply site. Tonnes of pictures there. Labels: Holidays |
