Chendol Affair : Day 2

I think the highlight of this day must have been the chendol trip. But I’ll come to that story later.

After a nice breakfast, papa wanted to bring us down to pool. But mama wouldn’t let me go because I haven’t done my “business” for the morning yet. She was afraid there would be a chemical spill in the pool if I did do my business eventually. So I had to stay in the room whilst my sibling had fun at the pool…drattsssss. And judging by this picture, I knew I was missing a lot … Double drattsss.

Now the chendol story:
Tok Din wanted to show papa and mama about this chendol stall having the best chendol in the world! Me thinks Tok Din is exaggerating a bit but with an intro like that papa and mama couldn’t resist wanting to have a taste of it. So off we went in search of this “power” chendol. After 45 minutes and passing a few towns, papa went off the idea of wanting this “raved” drink. Papa said the chendol better be worth the long journey.

When we finally reached the stall … and it was not there! Everyone’s jaw dropped like a stone. Luckily, another chendol stall was opened and touted as also having the same exquisite taste chendol as the missing one, as proclaimed by Tok Din of course … whom I think was trying to soften the blow. So we had a few bowls and it was good. I ate the green slimy thingy and wanted more of it. Big sis finished off at least 3 bowls. What a reprieve for Tok Din. The long journey was not all wasted.

Sorry no pictures, because all of us were too busy eating till we forgot to take photos. The only photo we had of that trip was this. What you’re looking at is the biggest and longest trailer, carrying the biggest and longest metal cylinder on a main road. It is so big, it took both roads. Scary scene this and only in Malaysia.

After driving back to the city and spending time at a big shopping mall, we went down to the famous “ikan bakar” place for our dinner. I was told by big bro that without fail, any family trip to Melaka must involve going to this grilled seafood place.

Now I see why when I saw everyone tucking to food that made my mouth salivate too.

Nah..I don't belive Tok Din as well. Nothing beats the Chendol Brunei at Majid Tanah.
Anyway, am glad that you and family had fun in Malacca..
Stay cute, hor...

Have you eaten the Chendol Penang next to the Chendol Brunei?

Papa said although he missed the Chendol Brunei, the Chendol Penang was still good though. To each his own ...
